My New Indie Horror Project

My New Indie Horror Project
Lost art from a never finished game

Like I have said in my previous post, I am working on a new mobile game. Although the game is on mobile, I will also be creating a Windows version of the game.

The game is being developed using Unity. A tool I have already tried a lot in the past. I didn't make it very far with my other projects though. My other projects were too complex for me to finish when I was just starting out as a mobile game developer.

I am currently still designing the world and have added some cool custom sound effects. The sound effects are based upon pop culture so it creates a unique atmosphere. Besides scary I want the game to become a bit silly, I might still make changes to this though.

Around a year ago I already created the game map, it is still far from complete though. I had just created the terrain and some decorations. I am now detailing the map much more to become and appear more lively.

I have spent the last week just searching for good assets that I could use in the project. This was quite the challenge as it is hard to find assets that work well with eachother.

The game assets are all PSX style assets and I am giving the game a kind of "lost footage" kind of feel. I am still not sure what the title of the game will be. Ofcourse, as a small developer I will probably not be choosing the name myself. As I need the title to be as optimized for the app stores as possible.

I hope to have some screenshots of the game by next week. It is pretty hard to fill a game world. My previous 2d games were all pretty small and didn't reach the amount of assets I am using right now by far. I hope to have an update on the project soon.
