What kind of game developer is Vultwo?
Lost asset of old project

When starting out developing different kinds of games I was mainly focused on 2d game development. Primarily as a mobile game developer. I chose to develop mobile games as the tools for mobile game development were readily accessible and very easy to use. Especially as a complete beginner.

I personally think that starting out as a mobile game developer is the way to go. You can learn a lot in the beginning like making sure the UI looks properly on different screen sizes. Making sure the game is properly optimized for less powerfull devices. And making sure the game colors look good on different kinds of screens.

If you are not very good on the graphical side, 2d game development is certainly also recommended. It is a lot easier to make 2d assets that look reasonably good. Starting out making 3d games is possible, although this would require using assets developed by others (if you are not very good on the graphical side as I have said).

I always try to develop games that differ from the norm. I want to take people who play my games on a rollercoaster ride in which they don't fully know what to expect.

The inspiration for Hustle Life was taken from other mobile RPGs that only had the buying and selling feature. The games were almost basically buying, selling and clicking on the next day.

I thought that this was simply too boring. That is why I incorporated custom events that happen throughout the days. It was a fresh take on a tried and proven type of game. From the reviews I received, I could also tell the people liked the new fresh ideas I had brought to the concept.

I am not very good at making games look very appealing graphically (without putting in huge amounts of time). That's why I make sure to not do too much on the asset side for my next project. I will still continue as a mobile game developer, I will be stepping away from 2d game development though.

I am currently busy optimizing the game world of my next project. Which is entirely 3d. It is quite challenging to learn about the different 3d techniques that exist and how everything works togheter. Especially as a mobile game developer that specialized in 2d game development.

I hope to be able to post updates on the project soon!
